We’re back from the holidays and it’s time to get things kicked back off at The River.  All worship services are now back on the TU Campus!   Worship is on Sunday nights at 6:00pm in Chisholm Auditorium.  If you’re looking for a new church home, or, are just curious about Jesus and what the Bible has to say about everyday life, drop on by…you’ll be glad you did.

With Christmas Break upon us, we are now in our Holiday Schedule.  All Bible Studies and Worship Services are cancelled through the Christmas Break and will resume in January.  Stay tuned for the January Kickoff Date.

Join us November 2nd as The River Church launches their Sunday Morning Service!  Worship begins at 11:00am.  We be meeting at 10 Riverside Drive in Tiffin, Ohio.  That’s the SCCA (Senior Citizens) Building.  It’s located at the corner of Riverside Drive and Washington Avenue…just a couple of blocks from The Ritz Theartre.

This is an incredible opportunity for you and your family to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, with others your age.  Come as you are…life change awaits!

Join us on Sunday afternoon, August 17th, as we partner with the h2o Campus Ministry in Prayer Walk 2008.  We’ll meet in Gilmore Student Center at 4PM.  There we’ll form teams, and walk the campus, around the dorms, the houses, you name it, if it’s TU, we want to pray over it.  This year has the potential to be INCREDIBLE, and it will ONLY happen through PRAYER!  We want to ask God’s Blessings for the school year, for safety & protection, and that God will lead hundreds of students into a personal relationship with Him. 

Afterwards, we’ll gather at the SCCA Building for a time of reflection & worship.  If you are on campus, or are in the TU area, we invite you to join us.  This is a GREAT WAY to kick off our Fall Semester!

The electricity is back!  Beginning Sunday night, August 31st, The River Church will move our services back to the Tiffin University campus.  Our services will be at 6:00pm in Chisholm Auditorium, located in Franks Hall.  Come early, make new friends!

The Fourth of July weekend was an incredible time for The River Church.  We took every opportunity to reach out into our community to do things that to many, just didn’t make sense.  We’re committed to showing the love of Christ in a very personal way that defies tradition.  We want our community to know that we are more than just a normal Sunday Service.  We’re a group of believers that have a passion for people. 

On Friday, July 4th, Tiffin celebrates the holiday with day-long activities in our BIG, Hedges-Boyer Community Park.  Familes gathered together with tents, bar-b-que grills, lawn chairs, games, all over the park.  And interlaced throuout were concession trailers, organized games, swimming, and we can’t forget the fireworks display that capped off a great day. 

We set up our tent at 8:00AM that morning and were finally able to leave around 11:00PM that night.  While we were there, we provided a Diaper Changing Station, for parents that needed a little more privacy.  We had games for all ages…bubbles for the li’l guys & gals…FREE water & PopCorn.

 We took the same opportunity on Saturday, July 5th to do basically the same thing at the Tiffin Flea Market.  Through these two events, we were able to make contacts with literally thousands of people! 

Then on Sunday afternoon, we held a Block Party at the SCCA Building, where we’re meeting for the summer, with FREE water…PopCorn…and Cotton Candy!  Our building is located at a major intersection that has a traffic light.  As you can see from some of the photos, we were able to ‘take advantage’ of the ‘red light’.  We gave out over 400 bags of PopCorn and Cotton Candy.

 We put in a lot of hours planning, promoting and actually pulling off this weekend.  But we made so many new friends, it’s amazing.  But the priceless moments came when we were able to help someone…give them something, absolutely free…or just to have a conversation with them, with NO STRINGS ATTACHED.  Those were something to see.

Don’t Miss Our New Summer Location!

Beginning this Sunday, June 1st, The River Church will be moving to our summer location, 10 Riverside Drive in Tiffin, Ohio.  This is the Seneca County Commission on Aging building.  It’s located on the corner of Riverside Drive & Washington Avenue, just down the street from The Ritz.  We have plenty of parking, and plenty of room for you and your family.  We’re an easy walk from Tiffin University or Heidelberg College.
